Atlantic travelled to Cooperstown to participate in the John Clarkson Classic Invitational Tournament, with the games being played on both Doubleday Field and the Farmers' Museum grounds. Playing against the Saginaw Old Golds, the New York Gothams, the Essex BBC, and the Mudville Nine, Atlantic won all four games to capture the beautiful Memorial Plaque. In the first game, Atlantic gave up 3 runs in the top of the first inning, then shut down the Old Golds with 8 whitewashes to forge to a 16-3 victory. Shakespeare and Dreambucket led the way with 3 hits and 3 aces each, and Tree picked up the victory.

In the second game, Atlantic again gave up runs in the top of the first, this time 4 runs to Gotham, then shut them down with just one more run over the next 8 innings to secure a 17-5 victory. Shakespeare went 4 for 4 with 3 more aces, and TC, Dreambucket, and Shorty all had doubles among their 3 hits. Nice&Easy shook off the 4-run first to settle down and pick up the victory.

In the third contest, Atlantic and Essex traded runs early as the lead exchanged hands several times before Atlantic took charge to grab a 9-7 victory. Red-hot Shakespeare again went 4 for 4 to lead Atlantic, and Hammy held Essex to just 1 run over the final 5 innings to gain the complete game win in what turned out to be the tournament clinching victory for Atlantic.

Atlantic then beat the Mudville Nine in the final contest 24-3 to complete the tournament at 4-0. Dreambucket had 4 hits with 2 doubles and 2 aces, and Butcher had 3 hits with a triple and 2 aces. Pigtail gave up just 2 runs over the first 7 innings to pick up the win.

At the conclusion of the tournament, Atlantic was presented with the John Clarkson Classic Memorial Plaque. Shakespeare finished the weekend with 13 hits and 11 aces to lead all ballists, and was presented a tournament plaque for his accomplishment.
