Atlantic set sail for Providence, Rhode Island, for a weekend of games against long-time friend and rival, the Grays. In two toughly fought contests, Atlantic squeaked by both times, taking the 1864 game 9-8 with 3 clutch aces in the 8th inning, and taking the 1884 game 9-6 with 4 clutch runs in the 7th. In the first game, Flash led Atlantic with 3 hits, including a double and a monstrous home run that cleared the distant fence. Shakespeare and Toothpick also had 3 hits each, with Pigtail picking up the victory.

In the second game, Atlantic managed just 9 hits, with Toothpick collecting 2 of them, but were able to put 4 of them together in the 7th inning to secure the victory. Shakespeare held the Grays scoreless the final 4 innings in gaining the victory.

On Sunday, the Atlantics and Grays again faced off in an 1884 contest, but this time the setting was beautiful McCoy Stadium, home of the Pawtucket Red Sox. Playing against a time limit, the game went into the 6th inning before we were forced to vacate the field for the other game. Fittingly, the score stood at 8-8, and both teams came off the field with a feeling of accomplishment. Shakespeare led Atlantic both with his bat and with his arm, hitting safely 3 times, and taming the Grays. TC, Hammy, and Tuna each had 2 hits, while Hawk contributed a triple.
