Atlantic hosted the Providence Grays in its 2010 home opener at Atlantic Park. The long-time rival Grays kept pace with Atlantic most of the day, but Atlantic managed to edge them in both games, 12-8 in the 1864 game and 6-4 in the skillfully played 1884 contest. In the first game, Butcher, Tuna and Tricky Rick led Atlantic with 2 hits each and Tree kept the Grays' bats down to pick up the victory. In the overhand game, Shakespeare gave up 4 runs in the 6th inning but whitewashed the Grays the other 8 innings to pitch Atlantic to victory. Toothpick, with 3 stolen bases and 2 aces, and Flash, with a stolen base and an ace, had 2 hits apiece for Atlantic.
