Donald "Shorty" Rubin began playing with Atlantic as a part-time player in 2002 when his cousin Hammy made him an offer he couldn't refuse. Being 6'-5", he immediately was given the nickname "Shorty". "Shorty" has a background in Little League baseball, and his height and long reach make him a natural at first base. He has also played some outfield for the Atlantics. His enormous power makes him a great asset to the team's offense. "Shorty" counts the first tournament he went to in Ohio as his most memorable moment with the Atlantics. Of course, he had a great time playing with the Atlantics in Cooperstown, also. |
