Matt "Monk" Gebhard
Matthew 'Monk' Gebhard first heard about vintage base ball while on a Brooklyn Baseball Bicycle tour. One of the other cyclists was an umpire in vintage base ball and from there he couldn't wait to get on a team. He started his vintage career as a firstbaseman with the New York Gothams in 2008. One of the Monk's favorite memories is when the Gothams beat the unbeatable Atlantics many years ago. He also enjoyed taking a road trip to Gettysburg and playing teams from around the country in the hot sun. After spending some time in the Manhattan barscene Monk is ready to restart his vintage career with the Atlantics. |
