Toothpick, Dreambucket (a double), Flash, Shakespeare, Wildhorse, Willy Mo (a double), and Mickey the Lip each had a hit. Tree pitched the distance to pick up the victory. The Nine started pounding right away in the second game, scoring 12 runs over the first four innings, then added more in their final three innings. Although there would be no Gotham Cup on the line this year, Atlantic was still poised to present its best game. Atlantic drew the late games on Saturday. Its first opponent would be the Mountain Athletic Club. Atlantic scored in six of their innings while playing almost flawless defense, exacting 8 straight whitewashes before giving up a lone run in the 9th inning for a convincing 11-1 victory. Dreambucket led Atlantic with 3 hits, while Wildhorse and Shakespeare had 2 hits apiece. Pigtail pitched the gem for the victory. Atlantic then faced Talbot in what proved to be one of the better games of the weekend. Talbot scored twice in their 1st, and once each in their 4th and 6th innings. Atlantic couldn't mount any offense against Talbot until their 7th inning, when they scored 3 times to close to 4-3. Atlantic then pushed across a run in the 9th to take the game to extra innings. The score then stood 4-4 until the bottom of the 12th when Talbot managed to plate a run for a 5-4 victory. The two teams had combined to record an incredible 18 whitewashes. Money and Pigtail had 3 hits each for Atlantic, while Dreambucket and Flash each contributed 2 hits. The forecast for Sunday called for morning showers, then clearing for the afternoon. Atlantic drew 2 morning games. Once again the skies were kind to Atlantic as both games came off without the rain. In the first game, just as they did in their first game yesterday, Atlantic scored in 6 of their innings, and again exacted 8 whitewashes before giving up a lone run in the 9th inning, resulting in a 10-1 victory. Flash had 3 hits for Atlantic, and Hawk, TC, and Dreambucket had 2 hits each. Shakespeare pitched this day's gem to pick up the victory. Atlantic's last game was against Waterbury, and the beginning looked good. Atlantic scored 4 runs in their 1st to jump out ahead, but that would be all their runs until they scored one final run in the 9th. Meanwhile, they held Waterbury to one run until the 6th, when everything fell apart for Atlantic. A multitude of errors combined with just a few hits gave 10 runs to Waterbury, a good team that took full advantage of the Atlantic miscues. Atlantic never recovered, and succumbed to Waterbury, 15-5. Shakespeare was the only Atlantic to manage 2 hits, as Atlantic totaled just 9 hits for the game.
